Redbrook is a small, relaxed sailing club with a mix of families, couples and individuals. We have exclusive sailing use of an attractive reservoir high on the Pennines.
Redbrook is one of the smaller sailing waters in the area but it does have the advantage that competent members can sail on their own any time conditions and their diaries allow.
We also have a non sailing membership category introduced to allow people with other compatible interests to share our facilities and enjoy the reservoir. This includes things such as swimming, model boats, canoeing and bird watching.
We have regular club races which are fun, relaxed events usually competing for a cup against a handful of other boats. We sail a variety of boats under 15 ft long including Toppers, Lasers 1&2 , Enterprise, Graduate, Pico, Mirrors etc . Windsurfers are also welcome. On a nice day we might finish the afternoon with a BBQ or a walk across the road and sit outside the conveniently situated Great Western Inn for a drink and a bar snack looking across at the water(Click on the image above . On a lovely day, after a good sail, the feeling is hard to beat!
